T Ballard (British) Early 19th century 1820

Superb 200 year old oil on canvas portrait of a young scholar seated at at table with a book.  A very well painted depiction. Signed and dated 1820 verso  and housed in a later ornate frame. 

Approx size: 20 inches x 18 inches including frame.  13 x 11 inches excluding.  Condition is generally good.  Some craquelure and minor paint loss to mid right all certainly consistent with age
