Charles Edward Leslie 1839 – 1886
Leslie was a landscape painter during the Victorian era and a member of the “Leslie” family of painters. Not to be confused with Charles Robert Leslie RA, Charles Edward Leslie specialised in Scottish and Welsh lake scenes. Widely exhibited his paintings hang in several British museums.
This example has a Scottish lake and surrounding mountains as its subject. In near perfect condition and housed in later frame.
